Music is fun! Listen to it or play it! Music is mathematical, rhythmic, creative, imaginative, helps dexterity, and more. If your child listens to and loves learning music, it will be a fun, soothing escape for her. Playing music need not be regimented lessons but can be just fun with music toys. Some kids thrive in lessons and others don't. Many sports use musicality to perform to (figure skating, gymnastics, etc.). Others play music while the sport is played at times (baseball, hockey, etc.). It's good for the brain and making different type neural connections! We all need more choices in learning....
